# A company added an AI vendor. What does that prove?

Inspect a real change between Intercom’s published subprocessor lists and separate a disclosure observation from claims about buying or replacement.



## Compare the same scope

The reviewed versions cover Intercom’s default US-hosted service subprocessor list, effective April 9, 2025 and June 25, 2026. The current list has separate regional sections; mixing those sections would create a misleading comparison.

In the reviewed default-US lists, ElevenLabs, Ably, and Cartesia appear in the later version and not the earlier one. ElevenLabs and Cartesia are described for text-to-speech AI processing; Ably is described for message delivery. These are additions to the disclosure, not verified contract-start dates.

## Translate evidence into a precise statement

## Write a research note

“Intercom’s default-US subprocessor list effective June 25, 2026 includes Cartesia for text-to-speech processing. The reviewed prior version does not list Cartesia in that scope. This is a disclosure addition; commercial terms and first production use are unknown.”

That note gives a researcher a reason to investigate. It does not support announcing a customer win, a competitive displacement, or new revenue without further evidence.

## Preserve the comparison

Store the source URLs, version dates, scope, retrieval date, and normalized vendor names. Keep name normalization separate from the source wording. A missing page, failed fetch, or inaccessible region is not a confirmed removal.

The attached snapshot preserves the reviewed version lists. Sources were rechecked September 12, 2026; the underlying stored version review is dated September 10.
