Free applicant tracking systems

Compare free ATS plans and downloadable recruiting software. Check the limits, hosting responsibilities, and what public adoption evidence can actually establish.

Initial coverage sample · reviewed (UTC)

Real public-source records, manually reviewed. This is a dated snapshot, not a continuous live feed or a representative market survey.

3 tools match. No observation is a coverage gap, not zero customers. Public sources do not reveal a company’s paid or free plan.

Descriptions and pricing links are vendor-published; no independent review scores are assigned.

Free plans and free software are different

A hosted free plan supplies a service under the vendor’s limits. Downloadable software still needs hosting, installation, backups, and maintenance. Review the project license rather than assuming that visible source code has unrestricted use.

Free recruiting software for small businesses

Start with your active jobs, number of recruiters, hiring stages, and required integrations. A plan that supports one open role may be enough for a first hire but unsuitable for several simultaneous searches. Confirm whether the offer applies to the corporate or staffing edition.

Can public evidence identify free-tier users?

No. An observed job board can identify a provider but normally cannot establish which plan an employer pays for. Our adoption column counts covered provider relationships only; it does not claim anyone is using the free edition.

Use the official source links to download software or review plan terms. There are no repackaged installers or unsupported “best free ATS” ratings on this page.

What the evidence can tell you

A public job board supports an ATS observation. A subprocessor disclosure identifies a provider that may process data for particular services. A vendor customer story describes a published relationship. These sources have different scopes and are labeled separately.

Counts cover the records on these pages, not the whole market. No observation in our covered sources does not mean a company does not use a vendor. Source recency and unresolved conflicts affect confidence; observations do not establish spend, renewal timing, or customer churn.
