An analyst turns information about competitors and markets into useful answers for a decision maker. The work often includes framing questions, gathering sources, checking claims, synthesizing findings, and explaining uncertainty.
Practice with a bounded question and a small source set. Write a brief that separates observation from interpretation, explains the limitations, and proposes a next step. The source map and analysis canvas provide a way to practice this workflow without inventing a business outcome.
Market intelligence can broaden the focus from named competitors to markets, suppliers, industries, or segments. Titles overlap: read the employer’s responsibilities rather than relying on the title alone.
The feed matches relevant job titles on covered public boards and may include senior or adjacent roles. It is not a complete job market. A role was listed when checked; the source application page determines whether it is still accepting applications.
A public job board supports an ATS observation. A subprocessor disclosure identifies a provider that may process data for particular services. A vendor customer story describes a published relationship. These sources have different scopes and are labeled separately.
Counts cover the records on these pages, not the whole market. No observation in our covered sources does not mean a company does not use a vendor. Source recency and unresolved conflicts affect confidence; observations do not establish spend, renewal timing, or customer churn.
