What is data enrichment?

Data enrichment adds useful fields to an existing record. Try enriching a company domain with the vendors, dates, and public sources in VendorCensus’s reviewed dataset.

Initial coverage sample · reviewed (UTC)

Real public-source records, manually reviewed. This is a dated snapshot, not a continuous live feed or a representative market survey.

B2B data enrichment in practice

Start with a company domain, resolve the correct business, and append only fields supported by a source. This demo returns observed vendor relationships. It does not scrape personal contact details or manufacture missing employee counts.

Unknown, conflicting, and out-of-date fields should remain distinguishable. Preserve the original record alongside enrichment fields so that an update does not erase provenance.

Data enrichment vs. data cleansing

Cleansing corrects or standardizes existing values, such as duplicate company domains. Enrichment adds information, such as an observed ATS. Both can improve a CRM, but adding more fields cannot fix an incorrect company match.

HubSpot and Salesforce enrichment

For CRM work, use company domain as a candidate match key and review entity boundaries before writing to account records. Keep vendor name, source URL, observed date, and service scope in separate fields.

This public demo does not connect to or write into HubSpot or Salesforce. Services such as Apollo and workflow tools such as Clay should be evaluated for their actual coverage, update policy, and field-level provenance.

What the evidence can tell you

A public job board supports an ATS observation. A subprocessor disclosure identifies a provider that may process data for particular services. A vendor customer story describes a published relationship. These sources have different scopes and are labeled separately.

Counts cover the records on these pages, not the whole market. No observation in our covered sources does not mean a company does not use a vendor. Source recency and unresolved conflicts affect confidence; observations do not establish spend, renewal timing, or customer churn.
